New Milton U3A

University of the Third Age (U3A) is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment, aiming to provide self-help interest groups who can draw upon the experience and skills of others to provide educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. You do not need any qualifications to host or join a U3A group, just enthusiasm to share. There are no exams to study for and no qualifications to be gained. New Milton branch of U3A was formed in 2010 since when membership has continued to grow and therefore new interest groups are being formed all the time.  Each month we have a speaker on a variety of interesting subjects after which members and visitors can enjoy socializing with their friends or meeting new people over light refreshments which are provided for a small charge. New members always welcome.

We hold several concerts a year in various venues ion the New Forest area and participate in local Arts Festivals. Notably we were the concluding act at the Milford on Sea Arts Festival in 2013 playing a selection of Ballet and Theatre Music followed by a selection of “Last Night of the Proms” repertoire and accompanying the Hallelujah Chorus, Jerusalem and “Land of Hope and Glory in Milford’s “Big Village Sing”.

The Jubilee Singers
New Milton Community Centre

Singing is good for you is what they say and we, in the Jubilee Choir are proof of this. We are a fun choir in that we enjoy every note we sing - well - almost every note, sometimes we go a bit off key but that doesn't matter at all, its all part of the fun. You don't have to read music either although this would be useful, and you don't have to have an audition. We practice on a Wednesday afternoon at the Community Centre from 2-4 pm so you don't have to come out on cold dark nights.
