Excited to announce that I’m bringing the successful ‘Music for Memory’ music and movement classes to Barton-on-Sea. Starting on Thursday 3rd May at 11am these classes are open to all and carers are welcome too. Please spread the word!

Participating in music and movement sessions is brilliant for keeping the brain and body active; for maintaining and even restoring brain and muscle functions; triggering autobiographical memories, emotions and speech; relieving tension and anxiety; promoting relaxation and increased flexibility; restoring well-being and much more. I use a range of well known repertoire - folk songs, hymns, popular music, songs from the musicals - and gentle movement sequences to create classes which are both enjoyable and challenging in all the right ways!

Classes are aimed at people with early memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, dementia or anyone wanting to keep their brain active to prevent the onset of cognitive decline.
